About Us
Women in Media was created by the Creative Industries faculty at City of Glasgow College to help inspire and share the work of the various students that aspire to work within the areas of the media including journalism, TV, and radio.
We have frequent events with some fantastic guest speakers, as well as regular meet-ups to allow group members from different media courses to collaborate, share skills and make friends.

Their course includes Video Journalism, Sub Editing, Specialist and Digital Journalism, Scots Law and more!
The journalism team’s main focus is writing the features found under the ‘Articles’ tab on the site!
Media

Their course covers units such as Web Design, Interview Skills, Radio and Video Production, Journalism, and many more!
The media team work across lots of our projects and also manage our social media accounts and website.
Radio

Their course takes them through the legal, practical and theoretical studies of how broadcasting in the radio industry works and how sound engineering works.
The radio team record and host the audio content which can be found under the ‘Podcast’ tab on the site.
Television

Their course allows them to study Television Studies, the Development of TV Productions, Scripted and Factual Productions, Studio Production and Scriptwriting.
The TV team shoot and edit the video material on the site and can be found under the ‘Broadcast’ tab on the site.
