Kayleigh Fraser: TV Ambassador

Hi, I’m Kayleigh, I’m 24 and I study HNC TV Production at City of Glasgow College.

Film & TV are powerful mediums of storytelling nowadays…and I LOVE telling stories! Film & TV provides us with the opportunity to learn about anything and everything (at our fingertips!), immerse ourselves in different worlds, explore human experiences, and challenge perspectives… what’s not to love!?!

My inspiration is Lesley Paterson- a professional triathlete and 5x world champion who decided to follow her dreams and become a writer and executive producer of the Oscar winning All Quiet on the Western Front. Her journey from sports to filmmaking has inspired me to try push myself beyond perceived limits and be brave to pursue my passion in the film & TV industry. Lesley is a strong female figure in media now and empowers women around the world to break barriers, persist in the face of adversity, aim high and follow their dreams regardless of the field.

My dream is to, one day, produce my own documentary series inspiring change, reframing the way we think about things, and sharing different cultures, with the hope of helping shape a more understanding, peaceful society.

Favourite artist: I can’t choose just one! I have lots of favourites for different reasons.

Favourite TV show: I’ve recently been obsessed with the beautifully created, character-driven, feel-good series: Gilmore Girls and the gripping, women-led spy thriller Killing Eve (Jodie Comer is absolutely brilliant in every role she plays and is probably my one of my favourite actresses. Again…another amazing woman in media).
