Olivia Meehan: Social Lead

Hi, my name is Olivia Meehan. I'm 19 and I'm doing a media and communications HND at City of Glasgow College.

I've been interested in having a role in the media for as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for creating. The reason I chose this career is to make a positive impact on other people's lives as well as the wider society. A woman in the media that inspires me is Jane Fonda, she is an academy award winning actress and activist. She is a woman in the media that inspires me because she didn't sacrifice her political opinions to be an actress. I think that she represents how women can be creative and glamorous whilst simultaneously being educated and outspoken about their opinions. 

I have many hopes and ambitions for the future. I hope my job allows me to travel the world and inspire people.

Favourite artist: My favourite artists are Fontaine's DC and Lana Del Rey, if you're making me pick, but I love music so much that it is hard to choose.
